Devil’s Backbone Danzig is a Porter
February 20, 2021 #Porter #DevilsBackBone
Devil’s Backbone is named after a Baltic sea town. It is actually a blend of an English Porter and a German black lager. It is brewed in Virginia.
It has a mix of malts that bring out hints of coffee, and chocolate. The malts include Pilsner, Vienna, Dark Munich, Carafa II, CaraRed, Brown Malt, Chocolate Malt.
I am always drawn to a Porter style beer because of the roasted coffee, yet smooth taste. This is one of my favorites.
